In the recent GJU 3030 Sustainability Competition, students from Al-Raed Al-Arabi School, King Abdullah II School for Excellence, and Al-Joud School for Creativity secured the top three positions, showcasing remarkable innovation in sustainability. The competition, which drew participants from both public and private schools, underscored the critical importance of sustainability for Jordan's economic future.

 

Ahmed Al-Salem of Al-Raed Al-Arabi School achieved first place with his project, "Self-Irrigation," which introduces an innovative approach to sustainable agriculture. The second-place award went to students Layan Moqbel, Maram Al-Ashhab, Zeina Qanas, and Leen Nidal from King Abdullah II School for Excellence for their project, "Oliveira of Excellence," which offers a creative vision in agricultural sustainability. Abdullah Shdeifat from Al-Joud School for Creativity and Excellence secured third place with his project, "Recycling and Innovation," demonstrating a novel approach to recycling and environmental sustainability.

Ahmed Al-Salem expressed his gratitude, stating, "I am thankful to the German Jordanian University for providing this opportunity. Participating in the competition was an enriching experience, allowing me to present my ideas and learn from others’ projects."

Commenting on their second-place achievement, the team from King Abdullah II School for Excellence said, "Winning second place in the GJU 3030 competition was a fantastic experience. It opened new horizons for us, provided valuable insights into other projects, and fostered new relationships. We appreciate the university’s efforts and look forward to continuing our participation in future competitions."

Abdullah Shdeifat, the third-place winner, highlighted the competition's significance: "The GJU 3030 competition is a vital platform for encouraging students to develop creative environmental solutions. I am grateful for the support and motivation provided. This competition has been an inspiring learning experience, and I eagerly anticipate future opportunities to participate."
