Welcome to the Jabal Amman Campus | GJU
Placed in the lively streets of Jabal Amman, right around the First Circle, you’ll find something a little unexpected: a university campus that feels like it’s always been part of the neighbourhood.
The Jabal Amman Campus is one of GJU’s most loved addresses. It spread across three restored heritage buildings, each with its own personality and its own story. Walk through it, and you’ll find architecture students pinning drawings to studio walls, researchers, and a community of people who chose to work and study somewhere that inspires them.
Our Story
We’ve been here since 2012, and at that time the campus had grown into a real hub home to SABE, the Deanship of Graduate Studies, the Consultation and Training Center (CTC), the Vision Rehabilitation Center (VRC), and the Road Safety Center of Excellence (RSCE). Different disciplines, different people, all sharing the same beautiful corner of the city.
It began in 2012 with Darat Othman Bdeir, a cluster of restored heritage buildings, from a 1920s villa to a 1950s office block. In 2018, Bait Ibrahim Hashem was officially heritage-listed under Jordanian law, with views over Downtown and the Citadel. In 2024, the complex expanded with Bait Al Sbagh, a mixed-use hub.
