The Department of Architecture and Interior Architecture at the School of Architecture and Built Environment (SABE) at German Jordanian University (GJU) organized a field visit for third-year students to a multidisciplinary engineering office, as part of efforts to strengthen the link between academic learning and labor market requirements, in line with the university’s applied education approach and its support for sustainable development pathways. The visit was supervised by course instructor Eng. Rawan Khattab.

During the visit, Eng. Bilal Hammad delivered a presentation showcasing a range of completed and ongoing projects. He also provided a detailed explanation of the different work stages, from the initial design phase through to implementation, reflecting real-world professional practice in the engineering sector.

The visit gave students direct exposure to the professional work environment and introduced them to project management processes. It helped deepen their understanding of labor market expectations and strengthened their ability to connect theoretical knowledge with practical application. Students also learned about key challenges facing engineering projects and how they are addressed within an integrated working system.

This visit is part of GJU’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality applied education through active partnerships with various sectors, aiming to prepare qualified graduates equipped with the skills and knowledge required by the profession and to enhance their contribution to sustainable development at both local and international levels.
