
The President of the German Jordanian University (GJU), Prof. Alaaldeen Al-Halhouli, received the President of the Kuwait College of Science and Technology (KCST), Professor Khalid Al-Begain, in a visit aimed at exploring the prospects for joint cooperation between the two institutions in the fields of technology and scientific research.
During the meeting, ways to enhance the partnership in areas such as artificial intelligence and cybersecurity were discussed, in addition to exploring opportunities for implementing joint research projects that contribute to the development of knowledge and innovation.
Prof. Al-Begain was given a tour of the university’s facilities, where he explored its advanced educational and research environment. The tour included a visit to the Deanship of Innovation, Technology Transfer, and Entrepreneurship, where he learned about initiatives supporting the leadership of innovative projects. He also visited the Research, Technology, and Innovation Complex, which houses the latest equipment supporting scientific research activities, as well as several specialized laboratories.
Prof. Al-Halhouli expressed his warm welcome for the visit, emphasizing the importance of academic partnerships with distinguished institutions at the regional level. He stated that the visit represents a step toward enhancing joint efforts in technological and research fields, in line with global developments and aimed at strengthening both parties' positions in higher education.
For his part, Prof. Al-Begain praised the advanced infrastructure of GJU and its model that combines academic education with practical application. He also expressed his eagerness to activate fruitful cooperation between the two institutions to achieve common goals and to sign a (MoU) in the near future.
