The President of the German Jordanian University, Prof. Dr. Ala'aldeen Al-Halhouli, participated in the General Conference of the Association of Arab Universities, in its fifty-fifth session.The conference was held in the Universities of Monastir and Sousse in Tunisia, with the attendance of the Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Amr Ezzat Salameh, and several ministers of higher education from Arab countries, in addition to the attendance and participation of 220 university presidents from 22 Arab countries.
Prof. Al-Halhouli stressed the importance of the conference in enhancing communication between Arab universities and representing a networking opportunity to build strategic partnerships that contribute to developing the future of higher education in the region, and to present the experience of the German Jordanian University as an international applied university that focuses on leadership, innovation, scientific research and community service.
The conference program consisted of a set of discussion sessions, with a specialized session that included a number of ministers of higher education who discussed the topic: "Digital Transformation in Higher Education: Experiences and a Look to the Future", and a session on student participation and the role of students in university governance.
