
As part of its efforts to explore the pioneering educational model of the German Jordanian University, the Committee of the National Youth Dialogue Initiative in the Senate visited the Deanship of Innovation and Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship (DI-TECH), and the Technology Research and Innovation Park (TRIP), which was inaugurated by His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, may God protect him, on the occasion of the university's 20th anniversary celebration.
The Dean of (DI-TECH), Dr. Nidal Al-Shwawreh, gave a comprehensive presentation on the establishment of the deanship and its role in promoting the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship within the university and the local community, in addition to supporting student projects and transforming entrepreneurial ideas into startups that contribute to economic development.
He also highlighted the deanship's efforts in linking academic outputs with industry by building strategic partnerships with various industry sectors both locally and internationally, thus enhancing the university's position as an incubator for innovation and practical application.
For her part, the Director of the Technology, Research, and Innovation Park (TRIP), Dr. Fadwa Dababneh, provided an explanation of the complex's goals and its pivotal role in supporting applied research and strengthening the university's leadership in the fields of technology and scientific research, emphasizing the importance of the complex in driving scientific progress and supporting economic growth in the Kingdom.
At the end of the visit, the committee members toured several laboratories of the complex, where they were briefed on the progress of work and ongoing research projects. They expressed their admiration for the scientific and technological advancements achieved and praised the high efficiency of the team working in these laboratories.
