The German Jordanian University (GJU), through the "My Right to Learn" Initiative, and in cooperation with the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army and the Public Security Directorate (PSD), organized a national educational trip to the Martyrs' Memorial and the Royal Tank Museum as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance national awareness and strengthen the values of citizenship and belonging among participating students.
The trip was attended by the Founder and Supervisor of the initiative, Mr. Abdul Hakim Arabiyat, along with a number of volunteers from GJU and members of the local community. The program began with a visit to the Martyrs' Memorial, where participants learned about the heroism and sacrifices of Jordan's martyrs in safeguarding the nation's security and stability. They also received an informative presentation from the memorial's staff highlighting key milestones in the Kingdom's history and the legacy of its martyrs, reinforcing the values of sacrifice, loyalty, and national pride.
The visit also included a tour of the Royal Tank Museum, where students explored the historical development of Jordan, its most significant military battles and achievements, as well as the museum's collection of military vehicles and artifacts documenting the history of the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army and its enduring role in protecting the Kingdom and preserving its security. Transportation was provided by the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army, reflecting its support for national educational initiatives and further strengthening the students' appreciation and pride in Jordan's military institution.
For his part, the Founder and Supervisor of the initiative, Mr. Abdul Hakim Arabiyat, expressed his sincere appreciation to the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army, the Public Security Directorate (PSD), and the administrations of the Martyrs' Memorial and the Royal Tank Museum for their warm hospitality and valuable cooperation, which contributed significantly to the success of the visit. He emphasized that such national partnerships exemplify the integration of state institutions in nurturing future generations and promoting responsible citizenship.
He also commended the volunteers from the GJU and the local community for their dedication in accompanying the students and organizing the trip's activities, highlighting the values of volunteerism and community engagement.
At the conclusion of the visit, the students expressed their appreciation for the enriching national experience, noting that it had broadened their understanding of Jordan's history and deepened their respect for the sacrifices of its martyrs, the bravery of its armed forces, and the dedicated efforts of its security agencies.
