The German Jordanian University (GJU) and the Arab American University in Palestine have signed an academic and research cooperation agreement aimed at developing joint scientific research and establishing sustainable frameworks for academic and training collaboration between the two institutions. This step comes in line with the vision of both universities to strengthen academic partnerships at the regional and international levels.

The agreement focuses on the fields of biomedical engineering, pharmaceutical chemistry, nursing, and related medical and health disciplines, through the implementation of joint research and academic partnerships, the exchange of scientific and academic expertise, and the utilization of the capabilities and equipment available at both universities. It also includes the exchange of students and faculty members, contributing to the enhancement of the academic environment and the development of competencies.

The President of the German Jordanian University (GJU), Prof. Ala'aldeen Al-Halhouli, affirmed that the agreement is in line with the university’s vision to advance applied scientific research and build effective academic partnerships, expressing his hope for fruitful cooperation that would contribute to producing scientific knowledge with tangible impact at both the academic and societal levels.

For his part, the President of the Arab American University, Prof. Dr. Bara’a Asfour, stated that the agreement represents a strategic step towards international academic openness, emphasizing that the partnership will open wide horizons for academics and students to exchange expertise and develop high-quality projects in priority medical and health fields.

The agreement was signed on behalf of the Arab American University by the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Eng. Zuhair Hijjawi, and Board Member Ms. Manal Zureiq, and on behalf of the German Jordanian University (GJU) by the Dean of Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Osama Saadeh, the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, Dr. Ziad Abu Al-Rub, and Faculty Member at the School of Computing, Dr. Ahmad Barghash.
