The President of the German Jordanian University (GJU), Prof. Ala’aldeen Alhalhouli, met with Madaba's Governorate Council member and Chairman of the Education and Culture Committee in the Council, Issa Al-Karadsheh, along with members of the Committee. They discussed aspects of cooperation and some issues of public concern.

During the meeting, Dr. Al-Halhouli introduced the university's activities, programs, and vision to be an international university of applied sciences, a pioneer in education, research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and community service, remarking that approximately 4,700 students are currently enrolled in the bachelor and master's programs, announcing that GJU is launching a Ph.D. program soon.

Dr. Al-Halhouli added that the university has several projects in nursing and developing vocational and technical education, and enhancing its role in the field of employment for its graduates in Germany, noting that the university announced the availability of five scholarships for the local community to study the professional diploma in education at the Queen Rania Teacher Academy

For his part, Karadsheh said they aim to cooperate with the university to benefit the community and students. He praised the quality of GJU students and graduates at the national and international levels.
