Nov, 25 – Jordan University of Science and Technology, German Jordanian University, and Al Hussein Technical University have signed joint memoranda of understanding aimed at enhancing research and teaching collaboration between the three universities.
The memoranda were signed by Prof. Khalid El-Salem, President of JUST, Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, President of GJU, and Prof. Ismael Al Hinti, President of HTU.
These memoranda include the launch of a joint research project between the three universities, focusing on vital areas such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and robotics. The universities will also work on developing academic programs to prepare students in line with the modern job market requirements. Additionally, academic exchange programs will be activated for faculty members and students, and an advanced knowledge network will be established to exchange experiences in improving curricula in engineering and information technology fields.

The three universities also agreed to form a joint committee to identify priorities for scientific research with a technical and applied focus, aiming to solicit innovative research proposals that will be jointly funded by the three universities.
El-Salem emphasized that these partnerships, particularly with technically distinguished universities like the German Jordanian University and Al-Hussein Technical University, represent an excellent model for fostering innovation and equipping students with the skills needed for the digital age. He added that these agreements not only enhance local collaboration but also contribute to strengthening the global standing of Jordanian universities through joint research projects that support the advancement of scientific research and education.
Al Hinti highlighted the importance of providing training and practical opportunities that allow students to compete both locally and globally, praising the leading role of the Jordan University of Science and Technology in supporting technical education and scientific research.
Al-Halhouli expressed pride in the partnership with the Jordan University of Science and Technology, emphasizing the German Jordanian University’s commitment to providing excellent academic education and contributing to the development of scientific research in the kingdom.
These partnerships are part of the Jordanian universities' efforts to enhance national and international cooperation in academic and research fields, positively impacting the development of higher education in Jordan.
