Dr. Ulrich Ernst, Head of the Middle East Department at the German Foreign Ministry in Germany, along with Dr. Rendel, Permanent Representative, Mr. Rohland, Political Counselor, and Ms. Lorenz, Cultural Counselor from the German Embassy in Amman, visited the German Jordanian University (GJU).

The delegation met with the President of GJU, Prof. Ala'aldeen Al-halhouli, where they focused on discussing the strategic priorities of German Jordanian cooperation, and economic prospects for Jordanian professionals in the German labor market, in addition to promoting political participation in universities.

Dr. Al-Halhouli praised the distinguished relationship with Germany and its continuous support for the university, stressing the university's tireless endeavor to focus on the German dimension through developing and strengthening partnerships in all its sectors and institutions.

The delegation was briefed on the university's projects in support of the vision of Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah in enabling partisan work and enriching the role of partisan life and the involvement of young people in it, in addition to the Syrian-Jordanian education project supported by the European Union and the work of the Deanship of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, technology transfer, sustainability plans, and green projects.

The visit concluded with a discussion session between the delegation and a group of GJU students, including the student representative Ahmed Al-Sharairi and heads of some student clubs. The meeting focused on political participation in universities and their influential role in political life in general.
