The Vice President for Academic Excellence, Prof. Iyas Khader, received Prof. Mohan Trivedi — Distinguished Professor of Engineering at the University of California, San Diego — during his visit to the German Jordanian University (GJU), where they discussed opportunities for academic and research collaboration, joint initiatives, and future strategic partnerships.

During the visit, Prof. Trivedi also met with the Dean of the School of Applied Technical Sciences (SATS), Prof. Aiman Alshare, where discussions highlighted the school’s academic programs, innovation ecosystem, and future collaboration prospects.

Prof. Trivedi further visited the Technology Research, Innovation, and Practice (TRIP) platform, where he met with Dr. Mutaz Ryalat, Dr. Natheer Almtireen, Dr. Ghaith Alrefai, and Dr. Hisham Elmoaqet. The visit included insights into several innovation hubs, including the Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS) Hub, Industry 4.0 Smart Factory, Micro and Nano Technologies, and the Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) initiatives. Discussions also explored potential collaboration and contributions to the upcoming FutureTech Conference to be held at GJU this October.

The visit reflects GJU’s commitment to advancing robotics, intelligent systems, and autonomous technologies through impactful international collaboration and knowledge exchange.
