A number of students from the German Jordanian University (GJU) participated in the Naumann Parliamentary Simulation (NAUSIM 2026), organized by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom – Jordan, in cooperation with Partners-Jordan, from August 27 to 31, 2026, at the Mövenpick Dead Sea Hotel.
GJU students played an active role throughout the various stages of the simulation, with several taking on parliamentary and leadership positions, including the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Deputy Speakers, members and assistants of the Permanent Office, as well as chairs of several parliamentary blocs.
Over the course of five days, students took part in a comprehensive parliamentary experience, gaining hands-on exposure to parliamentary procedures and rules, the formation of parliamentary blocs and coalitions, committee work, and the discussion of draft laws and amendments, culminating in the plenary session and final vote.
The simulation provided students with an opportunity to put their parliamentary knowledge and skills into practice while strengthening their abilities in dialogue, negotiation, teamwork, and decision-making within an environment that closely simulates parliamentary proceedings.
