Germany - Würzburg

The President of the German Jordanian University (GJU), Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, and the President of the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt, Germany, Prof. Robert Grebner, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to build a strategic partnership between the two sides and enhance cooperation in the fields of academic programs, international projects, scientific research, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
Both Prof. Al-Halhouli and Prof. Grebner expressed their pride in the strong bilateral relations between the two universities and aspired to deepen them through the MoU.
The University of Würzburg-Schweinfurt offers dual academic programs in German and English. Over the years, it has received hundreds of GJU students during their German Year, and in turn, GJU received Würzburg-Schweinfurt students to spend a semester in Jordan, in addition to the exchange teaching and administration within the cultural exchange program.
The two universities also cooperated in developing joint curricula, building capacities, exchange in scientific projects and research, and Erasmus Mundus projects in partnership with universities from Finland, Romania, and Norway.
Dr. Ralph Rosskopf, the Vice President for International Affairs at GJU and the former vice president at the University of Würzburg, attended the signing ceremony.
It is noteworthy that next June will witness more discussions between the two universities, as a delegation from the University of Würzburg will visit GJU to discuss the development of the joint strategic plan in robotics, hydrogen technology, and social work.
