Prof. Al-Halhouli indicated that the partnership with the Royal Scientific Society and Amman Chamber of Industry in applying the principles of cleaner production, efficient use, and management of resources is in the interest of the industrial sector and increases its competitiveness.
In addition, Al-Halhouli explained that the implementation of these principles in factories by graduate students would give them experience in industrial processes and analyses, which will increase their efficiency and ability to improve the Jordanian industrial product.
The MoU is part of a project funded by the European Union (EU) entitled "Transfer of Environmentally Sound Technology" and comes within the framework of the EU-funded "SwitchMed" program.
