The German Jordanian University (GJU) and Al Balqa Applied University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation between the two sides in academic and research fields of common interest.
The MoU, which was signed on behalf of GJU by its President, Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, and on behalf of Al-Balqa University, its President, Prof. Ahmed Fakhry Al-Ajlouni, specifies the implementation of joint activities such as preparing studies and research, holding seminars, scientific meetings and training courses in coordination with the consultation and training centers in both universities and raising the efficiency of the cadres working in them.
Dr. Al-Halhouli expressed his pride in the cooperation to achieve several scientific goals that would benefit both sides in collaborative projects, Dual Studies Program, German language education, and training programs for students that increase their employment opportunities in the local and German markets.
For his part, Prof. Al-Ajlouni stated that Al-Balqa University works to modernize its specializations to keep pace with technological developments, especially technical ones and specializations of future professions, also providing training and necessary skills to students to compete in the local and regional labor market.
Al-Ajlouni pointed to the university's endeavor to build partnerships with various national universities, including GJU, which forms a successful experience in the higher education sector through its programs and networking with the industry and institutions in Germany.
It is worth mentioning that the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Zakaria Qudah, the Dean of Scientific Research, Dr. Saeed Abu Rumman, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Khaled Al-Zoubi, the Dean of Princess Rahma University College, Dr. Mezyied Hayasat, the Director of the Cooperation and International Relations Unit, Dr. Dana Mahadien attended the ceremony from Albalqa University side and Prof. Sahar Al-Makhamrehthe Department of Social Work at GJU.
