The German Jordanian University (GJU) signed a cooperation agreement with Istiklal Hospital aimed at providing nursing students with hands-on clinical training at the hospital’s facilities, helping to equip them with the advanced skills needed to succeed in the labor market.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, President of GJU, Mr. Ahmad Al-Ahmad, CEO of Istiklal Hospital, and Dr. Mayada Daibes, Dean of the School of Nursing.
Under the agreement, nursing students will begin their clinical training across various hospital departments, supervised by qualified medical and nursing staff, within an integrated educational environment that enhances their practical skills and bridges the gap between academic knowledge and clinical practice.
Both parties emphasized the importance of this cooperation in supporting the educational process and enhancing the quality of clinical training by providing hands-on learning opportunities at one of the Kingdom’s leading private hospitals.
This agreement represents a significant step toward building strategic partnerships between the healthcare and academic sectors. It aims to enhance the quality of practical education, align academic outcomes with labor market needs, and contribute to the graduation of highly qualified nursing professionals capable of meeting the demands of the healthcare sector both locally and regionally, while supporting the advancement of medical education in Jordan.
