The School of Nursing at the German Jordanian University (GJU) organized a welcoming orientation for its new students for the academic year 2025/2026. The event was attended by GJU Vice President for International Affairs, Prof. Ralf Roßkopf; the Dean of the School of Nursing, Dr. Mayada Daibes; and the Head of the German Language Center, Mrs. Jacqueline Rogler, along with members of the school’s academic staff.
The session began with a welcoming speech by Dr. Daibes, who greeted the new students and presented an overview of the nursing major and its objectives. She highlighted the latest updates to the study plans and the mechanisms of academic advising, emphasizing the importance of maintaining academic standards and achieving balance between academic responsibilities and active participation in university activities that contribute to personal growth and skill development.
Prof. Ralf Roßkopf delivered a speech underscoring the importance of international cooperation and its role in advancing the university and enhancing the quality of education. He noted GJU’s continuous efforts to expand academic and cultural exchange opportunities with German and international institutions to enrich students’ educational experiences.
During the orientation, several topics of interest to new students were discussed. The Dean and guests addressed questions related to the nature of the major, practical training requirements, and academic expectations for the coming years, in an atmosphere marked by constructive dialogue and positive interaction between students and faculty members.
At the end of the event, academically outstanding students and those participating in curricular and extracurricular activities were honored in recognition of their achievements and active contributions to the school.
