The German Jordanian University (GJU) ranked fourth locally among Jordanian universities and among the best hundred Arab universities in position (71-80) in the Times World Ranking of Arab Universities 2022.
The Arab classification is based on sixteen criteria within five indicators; 33% for educational environment, 33% for scientific research, 20% for citations, 8% for the worldview of the university, and the social impact 6%. GJU was distinguished in terms of the number of citations for scientific production, which indicates the quality of scientific research outputs by members of the academic staff and researchers, in addition to its distinction in the university's worldview index.
The President of GJU, Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, confirmed that the university's presence in the classification is evidence of the success of its model as applied education similar to German universities, expressing his pride in the results strategically and academically, which came as a result of the academic schools and administrative departments efforts, which will push educational outcomes and the employment rate for graduates in the labor market.
For his part, the Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Department, Dr. Muhammad Ta’amneh, stated that raising the classification is one of the main strategic pillars of the university, which would increase its competitiveness, improve graduates reputation, pointing out that GJU is currently in a comprehensive development phase that includes the human, organizational and creative aspects to improve performance and classification.
