The President of the German Jordanian University (GJU), Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, participated in the 2nd International Conference on Universities and Artificial Intelligence Technologies, organized by the Association of Arab Universities in cooperation with the China Association of Higher Education (CAHE), and under the patronage and participation of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Azmi Mahafzah.

Prof. Al-Halhouli took part in a panel discussion titled "Artificial Intelligence and Institutional Transformation: Governance, Innovation, and Global Competitiveness", which explored the growing role of AI technologies in enhancing university governance systems, fostering institutional innovation, and boosting global competitiveness in higher education. The session featured leading experts and decision-makers from Arab countries and China.

During the session, Prof. Al-Halhouli emphasized the importance of integrating AI technologies into university education to keep pace with global developments and improve the quality of education and scientific research. He highlighted GJU’s commitment to adopting the latest digital applications in learning, teaching, and university administration.

The conference aims to strengthen academic cooperation between Arab and Chinese universities, and to discuss the opportunities and challenges presented by AI in the development of higher education and scientific research.
