The School of Nursing (SN) at the German Jordanian University (GJU), in collaboration with Anfas Medical Services, organized a specialized training workshop on the SimX Virtual Reality (VR) Simulation Platform as part of its ongoing commitment to advancing the quality of healthcare education, promoting digital transformation, and fostering innovation in teaching and learning. The workshop aimed to enhance faculty members’ capacity to effectively integrate emerging technologies into nursing education and clinical training.
The training featured intensive theoretical and hands-on sessions covering the use of the SimX platform, one of the most advanced virtual reality-based clinical simulation systems. The platform provides immersive, interactive learning experiences that replicate real healthcare environments, enabling participants to strengthen their clinical skills and medical decision-making in a safe educational setting.
Participants were introduced to the platform’s key features, including virtual patient assessment, emergency case management, clinical decision-making, interprofessional teamwork, as well as student performance assessment and learning outcomes evaluation. The workshop also addressed strategies for integrating virtual reality simulation into teaching plans, helping bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and clinical practice while enhancing the quality of education.
The introduction of the SimX platform marks a significant step toward strengthening the school’s simulation-based learning environment and supporting the German Jordanian University’s vision for digital transformation, innovation, and academic excellence. By providing advanced educational technologies, the university aims to enrich the learning experience while fostering critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making skills.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the School of Nursing expressed its appreciation to Anfas Medical Services for its collaboration in delivering the training program, reaffirming its commitment to expanding strategic partnerships, enhancing the quality of nursing education, promoting healthcare innovation, and preparing highly qualified healthcare professionals in line with international best practices.
