As part of its social responsibility and commitment to the values of solidarity and humanitarian support, the German Jordanian University (GJU), represented by the Community Service Department at the Support Services Department (SSD), organized a humanitarian initiative in cooperation with The Charity Clothing Bank, targeting 50 underprivileged families. The initiative aimed to support vulnerable community members and reinforce the University's role in serving the local community.
The initiative provided assistance to 300 individuals from these families, with an average of six beneficiaries per family. Participants were given the opportunity to select clothing, shoes, and toys according to their needs in an environment that preserved their dignity. Approximately 1,050 items were distributed, helping meet their essential needs and bringing joy to the beneficiaries.
This initiative reflects the University's ongoing efforts to promote a culture of volunteerism and social responsibility through humanitarian programs that support vulnerable families, improve their quality of life, and foster the values of giving and community solidarity.
The University also reaffirmed its commitment to expanding its partnerships with national institutions to maximize the impact of its community initiatives and serve different segments of society. It expressed its sincere appreciation to The Charity Clothing Bank for its fruitful cooperation and excellent organization, which contributed significantly to the success of the initiative and the achievement of its humanitarian objectives.
