In a step that reflects its commitment to supporting vocational and technical education and strengthening its national role in serving the community, The German Jordanian University (GJU) has launched a Work-Based Learning Program for twelfth-grade female students enrolled in the Vocational and Technical Education (BTEC) track from Khawla Bint Al-Azwar Secondary Mixed School, as part of a strategic partnership with the Naour Directorate of Education, in the fields of Information Technology and Business Administration.
The launch of the program comes within the framework of the university’s commitment to building bridges of cooperation with educational institutions in the local community, contributing to the development of the educational environment and aligning educational outcomes with labor market needs by providing students with high-quality training and practical opportunities on campus.
Dr. Abdallah Al-Raggad, Assistant President for Main Campus Affairs – Al-Mushaqar, emphasized that the university places strengthening partnerships with national educational institutions among its top priorities, stemming from its social responsibility and mission to empower students and equip them with modern practical and technical skills that align with the rapidly evolving demands of the labor market.
He pointed out that the program offers students the opportunity to benefit from the university’s advanced academic environment, including specialized laboratories and distinguished scientific and academic expertise, which contributes to refining their practical skills and developing their capabilities in the fields of technology and business administration, while opening broader horizons for their academic and professional futures.
For her part, Dr. Haifa Al-Khreisha, Director of Education for Naour District, praised this constructive partnership, stressing that cooperation between educational institutions forms a fundamental pillar in ensuring the success of vocational and technical education and embodies the national vision of investing in youth potential and preparing qualified cadres capable of competitiveness and innovation.
