The German Jordanian University recently hosted an information session about the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) in collaboration with the British Council. The purpose of the event was to provide valuable insights into the IELTS exam and its significance for individuals who wish to study or work abroad.

The session took place on June 3, 2024, and was attended by a diverse group of participants eager to learn more about IELTS and its role in international education and employment opportunities. Representatives from the British Council, Ms. Alaa Khatib and Mr. Ahmad Sartawi, shared detailed information about the exam format, scoring criteria, registration process, and preparation tips.

Ms. Alaa Khatib, Exams Business Development Manager at the British Council, expressed her delight in collaborating with the German Jordanian University to spread crucial information about IELTS to GJU staff, students, and the local community.

The participants were encouraged to ask questions and engage in interactive discussions to gain a better understanding of how to effectively prepare for the IELTS and successfully navigate the exam. The session also included practical advice on improving English language skills and accessing resources for self-study.

Prof. Dr. Reem Rabadi, Coordinator of the IELTS Testing Centre at the GJU, expressed gratitude to the British Council for offering this informative session on IELTS at the university.
