The Department of Social Work at the School of Applied Humanities and Social Sciences (SAHSS) at the German Jordanian University (GJU), in collaboration with the Arab Women Organization and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), recently held two workshops as part of efforts to promote community empowerment and enhance individual capacities in the fields of social work.
The sessions focused on empowering young feminist leaders, advancing gender equality, promoting inclusive education, strengthening communication skills, and building effective advocacy strategies. Students also explored broader gender-related issues, gaining practical tools to support positive social change.
These workshops come as part of the university’s efforts to support academic excellence and strengthen students’ roles in serving the community by equipping them with practical knowledge and hands-on experience that prepare them to be active contributors in the fields of social work.
