The German Jordanian University (GJU) hosted “Evening Under One Sky” at its Jabal Amman campus, bringing together more than 150 founders, investors, and entrepreneurs from Jordan and Palestine to foster connections and build bridges of cooperation between the two countries’ entrepreneurship communities.
The event was initiated by Startup Grind Amman in collaboration with Flow Ventures, Turab, the Astrolabe Foundation, and GJU, creating a space for entrepreneurs, founders, and investors to connect, engage in dialogue, exchange experiences, and explore opportunities for collaboration and partnerships.
The evening featured a panel discussion followed by several hours of open conversations, offering attendees an opportunity to network and exchange ideas and experiences in an atmosphere that reflected the vitality of the entrepreneurship ecosystem and the importance of direct engagement among entrepreneurs and founders from Jordan and Palestine.
The event highlighted the importance of building meaningful connections between the startup communities in Jordan and Palestine, particularly as they share many common challenges and opportunities. The gathering also provided a platform for networking and building new relationships that could develop into future partnerships and projects.
GJU’s hosting of the event comes as part of its continued support for innovation and entrepreneurship and reflects the commitment of GJU President Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli to strengthening the University’s role as an active academic institution in supporting entrepreneurs and startups, while connecting academic knowledge with the needs of the labor market and the economy.
Startup Grind is a global community for founders and entrepreneurs with chapters in more than 120 countries. Its Amman chapter, led by Muhannad Taslaq, organizes a range of meetings and events to support Jordan’s startup ecosystem.
The gathering is set to return to GJU, this time at its Main Campus in Madaba, as part of Startup Alley, held on the sidelines of ICFT 2026, on Monday, October 19, 2026.
