The German Jordanian University (GJU), through the General Services Department in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Directorate of Agriculture in Naour, organized a Green Day. The event was attended by Her Excellency the Minister of Agriculture's representative, the Director of Agriculture in the capital, Engineer Ibtihaj Al-Kassabah, the University President, Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, and several representatives from Naour and Madaba Governorate.
During the ceremony, held in celebration of the Arbor Day, the importance of increasing green areas in Jordan and within GJU’s campus was emphasized. The university aims to become a green, sustainable, and smart institution.
The ceremony included tree planting within the university campus, as well as the organization of an exhibition and bazaar for traditional cuisine and agricultural products cultivated or produced by the local community.
