In a joyful and patriotic atmosphere, the GJU family came together to celebrate two heartfelt occasions. academic and administrative staff exchanged warm greetings on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, wishing peace, prosperity, and blessings for Jordan and the entire Arab and Islamic nations. The celebration was made even more special by the historic qualification of Jordan’s national football team for the 2026  World Cup — a first in the country's history.

On this occasion, GJU President, Professor Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, expressed his deep pride in this national milestone, stating:"This achievement is the result of years of hard work, planning, and perseverance. Our youth turned their determination into a proud moment for all Jordanians, proving that with belief in the dream and dedication to the goal, anything is possible."

He added: "This moment goes beyond sports — it is a story of a nation united behind its leadership, believing in the power of its youth to make history."

Dr. Al-Halhouli also emphasized: "The steadfast support of His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II — may God protect them — along with the Hashemite family and the Jordanian people, played a major role in turning this dream into reality. Their love and confidence empowered the national team to achieve greatness."

Reflecting on GJU’s own journey, he noted that the university, now celebrating its 20th anniversary, has always been a beacon of excellence and national contribution:
"Over the past two decades, we’ve achieved remarkable academic and community milestones. We move forward with confidence in our youth, instilling strong national values and pride in their Jordanian identity. We remain committed to our country and leadership and strive to be a source of inspiration with every new achievement."
