The President of the German Jordanian University (GJU), Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, discussed ways of cooperation with Manaseer Oil and Gas Company General Manager Eng.Yasser Al-Manaseer and the Deputy General Manager Dr. Ramiz Khoury, in renewable energy, student training, support for graduation projects and projects that serve the community.
Dr. Al-Halhouli gave a briefing about the university establishment, its academic programs, and the applied science approach, which combines theoretical sciences with practical application, besides its role in graduating a generation equipped with science, knowledge, and practical experience gained during the German year.
He pointed out that the partnership with the industrial sector is a priority for the university to encourage applied scientific research to support the local industry and enhance the practical skills of the students.
For his part, Al-Manaseer stated that the company keeps pace with recent developments in energy, importing, storing, and selling ready-made oil products and mineral oils. In addition, the company is invested in the renewable energy sector and provides solutions to benefit from solar energy to generate electricity and wind energy, as it operates more than 22 plants entirely from solar energy. It is also the first company to provide electric vehicle charging service to the public, and the number of charging units currently operating is 21 charging units covering all parts of the Kingdom.
During the meeting, which was attended by the Vice President, Prof. Malek Alsharairi, and the Assistant to the President for Campus Affairs, Ikram Al-Naji, they discussed means of cooperation between the two parties to serve the university's vision in transforming the university into smart green campus, in addition to exchanging academic and practical experiences through the company's joining the dual studies program, workshops and business incubators.
