A number of athletes from the cross-country team at the German Jordanian University (GJU) participated in the Dead Sea Marathon, competing in a dynamic and highly energetic environment as part of the second semester sports activities plan of the Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA).
The event was organized by the Jordan Marathon Association and witnessed wide participation from runners across various categories, creating a strong and competitive atmosphere.GJU students delivered outstanding performances, achieving advanced positions and impressive timings, while maintaining a distinguished presence throughout the race, reflecting their preparedness and commitment.
The marathon also saw notable attendance from the Jordan Athletics Federation, where the Federation’s President took part in awarding the winners of the Bromine Ultra Marathon at the conclusion of the event, held in the Dead Sea area.
The GJU team included:
Mahmoud Fakhri, Toulin Ahmad Mohammad, Rama Anis Barakat, Omar Samir Al-Zaben, Khaled Jameel Azraqi, Dania Bassam Al-Badawi, Mohammad Amer Astaitieh, Shaker Al-Louzi, Marabel Osama Al-Fakhouri, and Noor Qaraein, under the supervision of coach Mais Nawaf Al-Ajarmeh.
