The German Jordanian University (GJU) concluded the third edition of its flagship community initiative, "My Right to Learn", with a vibrant closing ceremony held under the patronage of the University President, Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli. The event witnessed the presence of a large audience, including parents, partners, supporters, volunteers, and participating students.

In his opening remarks, Prof. Al-Halhouli expressed pride in the initiative, praising the efforts of the organizing team, partners, and volunteers. He reaffirmed the university’s commitment to supporting educational and community programs that empower the next generation in alignment with the national vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II and HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein.

Mr. Abdel Hakim Arabiyat, Assistant to the President for Community Engagement and the initiative’s coordinator, highlighted the role of volunteerism in fostering social cohesion, quoting HRH the Crown Prince: “Volunteering not only shapes an active citizen but builds a cohesive society.”
He emphasized the initiative’s alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those focused on health, quality education, and sustainable communities.

A key moment in the ceremony was the debut of the official anthem of the initiative, written by Haneen Miqdad, capturing the spirit and social message of the program.

Representing the parents, Ms. Majd Al-Subaihat expressed gratitude to GJU and the initiative team for offering children a valuable educational and emotional experience. Volunteer team supervisor Ms. Heba Arabiyat shared her pride in being part of the initiative for the third consecutive year, noting its growing impact and reach.

The event concluded with the distribution of participation certificates to students and appreciation plaques to supporting institutions, including the Jordan Armed Forces, Public Security Directorate, Dr. Taher Shakhshir, Arab Potash Company, Zaha Cultural Center, Isparta Water Technology, and others.

This year’s edition witnessed a qualitative leap in content and scope, offering children a rich learning experience that combined technical, cognitive, and life skills.
