German Jordanian University (GJU) concluded the activities of the Sport-Tech Hackathon 2026, which was held over four days with the participation of outstanding students from various disciplines. During the event, participants presented 14 innovative entrepreneurial projects in the field of sports technology, in an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm, competition, and creativity.
The participating teams worked on developing technological solutions and ideas that reflect the talents and capabilities of Jordanian youth in the fields of sports and technology, in line with the university’s commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among its students.
The judging panel included Dr. Hossam Abu Seaud, Dr. Lina Abu El-Haija, Dr. Shehab Khraisat, and Eng. Ahmad Al Saif, who evaluated the participating projects and selected the winning teams.
The first-place award was won by Computer Engineering students Kareem Al-Abdallat, Ghaith Abu Salman, and Omar Faisal, who will receive an opportunity to travel to Germany as part of the iCCiEE Project, in partnership with Dresden University of Applied Sciences, New Uzbekistan University, and Technical University of Munich.
This event comes as part of the ongoing efforts of GJU to support creativity and innovation, while providing a motivating environment that enables students to develop their ideas and transform them into impactful future projects.
