The Business School at the German Jordanian University (GJU) hosted Solidarity – First Insurance Company for an awareness lecture focused on the concept of insurance and its importance in supporting the economy and enhancing financial stability.
The lecture covered several key topics, including different types of insurance, risk management mechanisms, and the role of the insurance sector in driving economic growth. It also highlighted the use of business intelligence and data analytics in developing insurance services and improving decision-making processes.
The event witnessed strong engagement from students and faculty members, with in-depth discussions about the future of insurance in light of digital transformation. Students demonstrated a clear understanding of data analytics concepts and how they can be applied in the insurance sector—reflecting the strength of GJU’s academic programs and their alignment with labor market needs.
At the end of the event, the company’s delegation met with GJU President Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli. Solidarity – First Insurance Company expressed its interest in signing a cooperation agreement with GJU to support training and capacity-building opportunities. The agreement would also provide Business School students with hands-on training placements through the Dual Study Program, helping prepare qualified graduates according to the highest professional standards.
This initiative aligns with GJU’s commitment, under the leadership of Prof. Al-Halhouli, to strengthening partnerships with the private sector, creating real career pathways for students, and linking academic learning with practical application in leading institutions.
