The Steering Committee responsible for preparing the strategic development plan for the municipality of Greater Madaba 2023-2026 met at the German Jordanian University, the scientific incubator for this plan, in the presence of the President of GJU, Prof. Ala'aldeen Al-halhouli, mayor of the municipality, Aref Al-Rawajeeh, and committee members.
Dr. Al-Halhouli indicated that GJU is pleased with this cooperation, as it will provide scientific and technical means to make it successful in partnership with various authorities.
For his part, Al-Rawajeeh stated that the municipality is working in a participatory scientific manner with partners, as it is concerned with the quality of analysis of the vital sectors to complete the plan and support development, investment, and service projects.
In turn, the Director of the Local Development Unit, Muhammad Abu Qaoud, gave a presentation of the features and elements of the plan. The plan is based on the Local Administration Law No. 22 of 2021, Article 15.
At the end of the meeting, both parties emphasized the importance of continuous cooperation between partners to improve the services provided and develop municipal work toward sustainable local development.
