The German Jordanian University (GJU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Jordanian Economic Forum (JEF), aimed at enhancing cooperation in the fields of scientific research, economic studies, applied education, and innovation. This collaboration seeks to contribute positively by aligning higher education outcomes with the needs of the national economy and developing knowledge-based economic policies.
The MoU was signed by Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, President of GJU, and H.E. Mr. Mazen Al-Hamoud, President of JEF, in the presence of several academics and Forum representatives on the university campus.
During the signing ceremony, Prof. Al-Halhouli emphasized the importance of partnerships with national intellectual and economic institutions in supporting the university’s efforts to advance applied education and strengthen the role of scientific research in addressing national priorities. He noted that cooperation with the Forum will open new horizons for students and researchers, enabling them to contribute innovative solutions to current economic challenges.
For his part, Mr. Al-Hamoud highlighted the Forum’s commitment to expanding its partnerships with national universities in order to enrich economic dialogue with qualified scientific minds and fresh ideas that support decision-making and foster sustainable development.
Under the MoU, both parties will collaborate to exchange expertise and academic competencies, organize economic dialogues and salons, conduct joint studies and research, and launch national reports addressing Jordan’s economic priorities while supporting reform and development efforts.
This agreement aligns with the university’s strategic vision to reinforce its role as a leading academic institution that contributes to the development of a knowledge-based economy through strategic partnerships with various national sectors.
