The German Jordanian University Alumni Ambassadors Program (APP), which launched in 2018 as one of the key initiatives of the GJU Project Office at the University of Applied Sciences Magdeburg-Stendal, held its first meeting.
The AAP program aims to foster connections between GJU and the University of Applied Sciences Magdeburg-Stendal with GJU graduates who started their professional careers and/or continued their academic education in Germany.
The GJU President Professor Dr. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli highlighted the importance of alumni work at GJU. Furthermore, he addressed the role of alumni as ambassadors for the GJU and for Jordan in Germany and the world, as well as the high rate of employability of GJU graduates.
The German-Jordanian Association President Dr. Jochen Pleines, and the former Vice President for International Affairs of the GJU, Prof. Dr. Anton Mangstl delivered presentations on the networking opportunities between the two countries Germany and Jordan.
The Alumni Relations Specialist at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Medical University of Bahrain (RCSI Bahrain) Loreen Bahour shed light on strategies to nurture student retention, lifelong support for graduates, and the importance of alumni networks.
It is worth mentioning that the organizers of this event are: Abdullah Nsair, Ramz Sbeitan, Hasan Jaber, and Rashad Barakeh, whose dedication and hard work contributed to the successful launch of this initiative. The next GJU Alumni Ambassador Meeting is set to take place in Hamburg in early October 2023.
