The German Jordanian University (GJU) advanced to 44th place in the QS Arab Region University Rankings 2023. The results were announced in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, during the QS Arab Forum.

The President of the University, Prof. Ala'aldeen Al-halhouli, received the classification certificate at the ceremony held on board the Queen Elizabeth II ship in Dubai. Dr. Al-Halhouli said that GJU advanced by six places this year comparing the previous year, and this confirms its progress toward Arab and global excellence through its approach to applied technology education and its constant pursuit to be an applied international university based on creativity, innovation, scientific research, and community service.

Dr. Al-Halhouli indicated that this achievement, which was based on strategic and academic indicators such as the quality of education, scientific research, citations for each research paper, the student-to-professor ratio, and the international academic members' ratio, came as an outcome of the efforts of GJU's employees and their persistent pursuit to place the University in the ranks of global universities.

Dr. Al-Halhouli pointed out that the university focuses on the German dimension especially teaching the German language and building solid partnerships with German companies, factories, and universities, stating that the number of partner universities in Germany has reached one hundred and twenty universities and increasing to open new opportunities for students during the fourth academic year they spend in Germany.

Moreover, Dr. Al-Halhouli added that the university had introduced new digital programs for this year in the bachelor's and master's degrees in Pharmaceutical and Chemical Engineering and the joint doctoral program in German as a foreign language.
