Dr. Lorenz Petersen, Director of GIZ Jordan, along with Ms. Alaa Gohar, Head of Human Resources, visited the German Jordanian University (GJU) on Tuesday, August 12, to discuss potential long-term cooperation between GIZ and GJU. The meeting aimed to identify collaborative opportunities in key areas including sustainable energy, water resources, humanitarian efforts, and employment.
During their visit, Dr. Petersen and Ms. Gohar toured the GJU campus and engaged in discussions on enhancing support for GJU students through internship programs and expanding opportunities for students to practice German following their studies in Germany.
The agenda included a presentation on GJU and past GIZ projects, as well as an overview of programs related to sustainability, energy, water resources, humanitarian interventions, and migrant support. Additionally, the discussion covered topics such as entrepreneurship, employment, and dual studies.
