The German Jordanian University (GJU) participated in the Jordanian-German Business Forum, organized by the Jordan Chamber of Commerce in Amman, with wide participation from governmental and economic entities from both Jordan and Germany. The forum aimed to enhance investment and trade cooperation between the two countries.
During the forum, GJU President Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli delivered a presentation highlighting the university’s 20-year journey as a unique model of Jordanian-German collaboration in education and applied training.
Prof. Al-Halhouli emphasized that the university currently cooperates with many German universities and nearly 5,000 companies in Germany to provide students with practical training and employment opportunities, in line with GJU’s philosophy of integrating academic learning with practical experience to prepare highly qualified Jordanian graduates for both local and international labor markets.
He noted that GJU represents one of the most successful examples of Jordanian-German partnership, contributing to the transfer of German educational and professional expertise to Jordan and becoming a regional model for applied education.
The forum also featured discussions on investment and economic cooperation opportunities between the two countries in sectors such as energy, transportation, infrastructure, and education. Participants underscored the importance of continued collaboration between academic institutions and the private sector to promote sustainable economic development.
