The President of the German Jordanian University Prof. Ala'aldeen Al- Halhouli, received the QS Arab Region University Rankings 2026 certificate during the official ceremony organized in Oman, marking international recognition of the university’s continued excellence in education, research, innovation, and leadership.

The university achieved a significant leap in the rankings, moving up to 39th place from 54th last year, reflecting a 28% improvement and surpassing more than 87% of universities across the Arab region. This accomplishment underscores the university’s unwavering commitment to providing applied, high-quality education, fostering research and innovation, and preparing students to meet the challenges of both local and global labor markets.

Academically, the university ranked first in Jordan for "faculty-to-student ratio," second in both "citations per paper" and "international faculty," and third for "papers per faculty member," highlighting its excellence in teaching quality, research impact, and its ability to attract global academic talent.

Prof. Dr. Al-Halhouli emphasized that the university will continue its strategy of innovation and academic development, updating its programs to meet the evolving demands of the labor market and strengthening its global academic presence, ensuring its position as a leading university regionally and internationally.

He added that this achievement is not just a number in a ranking but a testament to the university’s steadfast commitment to academic and research excellence, innovation, and knowledge leadership, reflecting the dedication of faculty, students, and local and international partners who collectively enhance the university’s reputation and impact.
