Madaba Governor Hassan Salem Al-Jbour received the President of the German Jordanian University (GJU), Prof. Dr. Ala'aldeen Al-Halhouli, at the Governorate headquarters as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional collaboration and reinforce partnerships with the local community.
During the meeting, both sides discussed opportunities to enhance cooperation between the Governorate and the University across a range of developmental and community-focused areas. The discussions focused on supporting initiatives that serve the residents of Madaba Governorate while further strengthening GJU's role in community engagement and social responsibility.
The meeting also explored opportunities to implement joint programs and projects that support various sectors in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Both parties emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration between academic institutions and the public sector, reaffirming their commitment to continued coordination and cooperation in ways that serve the public interest and contribute to the sustainable development of the local community.
