The School of Applied Medical Sciences (SAMS) at the German Jordanian University (GJU), in collaboration with the Jordan Chapter of the Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE EMBS Jordan Chapter), is preparing to organize the Scientific Day for Research and Innovation 2026, which will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at the GJU Main Campus in Al-Mushagar – West Madaba Road.
Held under the theme “From Research to Impact: Connecting Discovery, Application and Collaboration,” the scientific day aims to showcase scientific research, innovative ideas, and applied projects, while fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and contributing to transforming research outcomes into solutions and applications that address the needs of the medical, pharmaceutical, and engineering sectors.
The event targets academics, researchers, students, and specialists in the fields of Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical and Chemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, and related disciplines. It is expected to witness the participation of several department heads, faculty members from Jordanian universities, and representatives from companies and institutions involved in research and development.
The program of the scientific day includes a number of specialized activities, including a panel discussion, specialized workshops, and an exhibition featuring research posters, innovative projects, and prototypes. The event will also provide a platform for networking, exchanging expertise, and building partnerships between researchers and representatives of relevant sectors.
SAMS invited researchers and students interested in participating to submit research posters, applied projects, and prototypes, and to register for the event, with the aim of supporting research and innovation initiatives and encouraging the transformation of scientific knowledge into practical applications with an impact on society and productive sectors.
