The German Jordanian University (GJU) participated in the English Language Olympiad for Universities ELO 2025, held under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in the presence of senior ministry officials and representatives of Jordanian and international universities. The international event took place in Jordan from 18 to 20 December 2025 under the theme of “Sport,” featuring five main competition tracks with the participation of 55 teams from 28 Jordanian higher education institutions, in addition to teams from Saudi Arabia, Palestine, and Uzbekistan.
GJU was represented by two teams: Team 27 “Inklings”, which achieved Second Place in the Project Category under the supervision of Dr. Abdulelah Albdour, with students Sami Habahbeh, Salma Nassar, Mohammad AlFaghouri, Alma AlFaouri, and Amina Abulhaj. Meanwhile, Second Place in the Teamwork Category went to Team 28 “Atachyons”, led by Dr. Bassmah AlTaher, with students Aya Awwad, Tariq Abudiya, Juana Isleem, and Abdelrahman Almatarneh.
Team T8 was sponsored by Eplanet Educational Services, whose active support greatly contributed to the team’s success.
