The German Jordanian University (GJU) organized an Open Day on Saturday at its Main Campus in Al-Mushqar, with broad participation from General Secondary Education (Tawjihi) students, international program students, prospective students interested in learning more about GJU, and their parents. The event aimed to introduce participants to the University’s academic programs and majors, as well as its admission and registration requirements.
The Open Day featured informational sessions with representatives from the University’s schools and academic and administrative departments, providing students and their parents with an opportunity to learn more about the available majors, the nature of academic study and courses, and admission and registration procedures, while also addressing their questions about the services and opportunities offered by the University.
The event also included tours of the University’s campus and facilities, where participants were introduced to GJU’s distinctive educational model, including the German Year, which provides students with opportunities to study, undertake practical training, and gain exposure to the German work environment. They also learned about the Dual Study Program, which combines academic education with practical experience, as well as international exchange opportunities and experiences.
The Open Day provided students and their parents with an opportunity to engage directly with academic and administrative staff and gain a practical understanding of university life, as well as the educational and career pathways associated with different majors.
The University emphasized that organizing the Open Day is part of its efforts to strengthen communication with General Secondary Education and international program students and their parents, provide comprehensive information to support informed decisions regarding majors and academic pathways, and highlight its educational model, which integrates academic knowledge with practical application and promotes engagement with German and international experiences.
