The School of Architecture and Built Environment at the German Jordanian University organized a day for Architecture and Design under the title "Creativity Forum," in the presence of Her Highness Princess Dana Firas, Chair of the Board of Directors of the World Council of Monuments and Heritage Sites (Icomos Jordan), UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for Cultural Heritage, and former Minister of Information, Engineer Sakher Dodeen. At the Forum, Her Highness presented a scientific paper entitled "Places, People and Climate Change," during which she presented the association's goals in contributing to the preservation of archaeological sites and monuments in the world with best practices, and working with relevant local and international bodies and institutions to raise the level of management of these sites in line with international standards, and raising the level of awareness of the importance of archaeological and heritage sites for all segments of society.

For his part, the President of the University, Dr. Alaaldeen Al-Halhouli, praised during the ceremony, which comes within the University's celebrations of the German Week, the role of Her Highness Princess Dana Firas as Chair of the pivotal National Petra Fund in protecting the rich cultural heritage of the ancient city of Petra, and strengthening international cooperation in the field of heritage preservation and crucial global issues, particularly climate change. He said that the University took upon itself the responsibility to reach the steps of sustainability through its strategic plan to become a green and smart university in recognition of the urgent need to address environmental challenges. In turn, the Dean of SABE, Dr. Omaima Al-Arja, indicated that the Forum included an exhibition of the works of the school students and professors, and an introduction to the design and information media specialization shared between SABE and the School of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, in addition to success stories of the School’s graduates.
