The German Jordanian University (GJU) has made a significant leap in the 2025 QS World University Rankings, advancing to the (901-950) category globally and achieving an impressive 20% growth compared to the previous year’s ranking (2024). Additionally, GJU has progressed in the QS Arab Region University Rankings for 2025, securing the 54th position and maintaining its standing among the prestigious universities in the region. In 2024, GJU was ranked between (51-60), and this slight advancement demonstrates the university’s continuous commitment to providing distinguished applied education, fostering scientific research, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
Moreover, GJU ranks first in Jordan among the top ten universities for "citations per paper" and third in Jordan for "papers per faculty member."
In this context, GJU President, Prof. Ala'aldeen Al-Halhouli, emphasized that "the German Jordanian University remains committed to providing outstanding applied academic education, promoting scientific research, and developing local and international partnerships to ensure continued academic progress and strengthen its position among the top universities in the region and globally." He further noted that the university is constantly striving for innovation and the development of its academic and research programs to meet market needs and enhance its global academic reputation, solidifying its status as one of the leading universities in the region.
The Vice President of the university, Prof. Malek Alsharairi, received the 2025 ranking certificate during a special ceremony organized by the ranking entity in Amman.
