On Sunday, November 17, 2024, the German Jordanian University organized a special event to mark "World Diabetes Day" under the patronage of the Nursing Club. The event featured a variety of stations offering healthy, sugar-free snacks, as part of the university's ongoing efforts to encourage the academic community to adopt a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Companies such as Tops and Eng. Amer Products, specializing in healthy food products, showcased a range of sugar-free alternatives, providing attendees with an opportunity to discover healthier meal options.
In addition, the event offered professional consultations with nutrition specialists, and included "In Body" scans to precisely analyze body composition, helping participants gain a better understanding of their health status and receive personalized dietary advice. Quick diabetes screenings were also conducted in collaboration with MedLab, where many students, staff, and visitors had the opportunity to check their blood sugar levels.

The event also featured a series of interactive games and educational activities designed specifically for students, including quizzes and games focused on diabetes, proper nutrition, and the importance of physical activity. This initiative is part of the university's commitment to health awareness and promoting a healthy lifestyle within its community. The primary goal was to highlight the importance of preventing diabetes through a balanced diet, regular exercise, and regular medical check-ups.
The event concluded with remarks from the organizers, who thanked everyone for their active participation and encouraged the continuation of efforts to spread awareness and prevention of diabetes. Emphasis was placed on the importance of ongoing educational initiatives to help reduce the spread of the disease in the community.
