Amman – November, The German Jordanian University (GJU) welcomed a delegation from the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt, consisting of Prof. Markus Schuck and Prof. Volker Herrmann, and Lukas Heidecker, master’s student in Polymer Engineering.

The visit aimed to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions and explore the possibility of launching a hosted program in Polymer Engineering at GJU, in collaboration with German universities.

During the visit, the delegation held two workshops to discuss potential cooperation. They also met with representatives from the Jordan Chamber of Industry to examine labor market needs and program development. The discussions were productive, leading to an invitation for Jordanian industry representatives to attend a workshop in Würzburg in 2025.

The delegation also met with two cohorts of Hydrogen Engineering students to learn about their experiences with the hosted programs, and were impressed by their perseverance and enthusiastic discussions. Additionally, Prof. Markus Schuck was invited to give a lecture on the work measurement model at GJU.

Furthermore, the delegation toured the campus in Madaba, visiting laboratories and facilities such as the German Language Center and “DiTech” The visit also included a trip to Mount Nebo and Madaba city.

The visit resulted in promising steps toward the future development of the program, fostering stronger academic and industrial cooperation between Germany and Jordan.
