In his address, Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, President of the University, highlighted recent notable achievements, including the prestigious Order of Independence of the First Degree awarded to GJU by His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein. He described this honour as a testament to the university's dedication and the significant contributions of its graduates to the national economy and development, both in Jordan and abroad.
Prof. Al-Halhoulial emphasized the university's attainment of ISO certification and the importance of ongoing commitment to advancement. He outlined the university’s infrastructure, including its main campus in Al-Mashqar, the Jebel Oman campus, and the newly inaugurated Al-Sabbagh House, which will serve as a centre for consultations and training.
Addressing the graduates, Prof. Al-Halhouli stressed the need for their continued support and involvement in university projects and committees. He noted that 50% of alumni are working internationally in regions such as the Americas and Germany, and he expressed pride in their achievements and contributions.
Dr. Nidal Al-Shawawra, the Dean of DI-TECH, commended the graduates for their alignment with the university’s mission and vision. He underscored the integral role of alumni in representing the university and emphasized that the institution's success is closely linked to the achievements of its graduates and their ventures.
The forum featured several speeches underscoring the university's role in equipping graduates with leadership and life skills essential for securing prominent job opportunities or launching successful startups. Raad Haroun, a university graduate, spoke on behalf of his peers.
Additionally, Nisreen Qatamish, Director General of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, and Muhannad Al-Bakri, Director General of the Royal Film Commission, delivered speeches reflecting their strong collaboration with the university and their commitment to its growth and service to students and the nation.
A dialogue session titled "Leadership after Graduation" was held as part of the forum, featuring graduates Omar Al-Rifai, Adnan Al-Tahat, Rand Al-Halasa, Darat Zagha, Nibras Muslimani, and Anas Al-Salhi. They shared insights into their post-graduation achievements and entrepreneurial endeavours.
