The German Jordanian University, through the University library, in cooperation with the Directorate of Culture of Madaba, honored a group of writers and poets in the Governorate of Madaba and the Naour Brigade for their distinguished role in enriching national, Arabic, and humanitarian content, in the presence of the library director, Dr. Aziz Madi and the Director of Madaba Culture, Mr. Mohammad Al-Fasatlah.
During the ceremony, Dr. Madi mentioned the cultural activities organized by the University in the fields of culture, cooperation with authors, the transformation of the library's role from the traditional role to the supporting role for general cultural, and the continuous cooperation with institutions concerned with culture, foremost of which is Madaba Culture Directorate.
For his part, Mr. Al-Fasatlah highlighted the importance of continuous cooperation between the two parties in cultural and artistic activities and national events, appreciating the idea of honoring a group of writers by the University.
In turn, the celebrated writers talked about their literary, poetic and intellectual productions and presented the library with copies of their work. Those celebrated are the writer and journalist Rola Al-Sama'in, the writer Ghadeer Haddadin, the poet Haneen Al-Ajarmeh, the poet Saeed Yaqoub and the poet Ali Al-Shayrat.
At the end of the ceremony, the writers had a tour around the various library facilities.
